Another Moving Day

The kids are coming down this evening to help us over the weekend move more things. Hopefully we will be able to get the rest of the furniture moved this weekend and only have the small things left to finish. Dakota, Wyatt and Audrey are also going to be here for the weekend. We should have a great time even though we have a lot of work to do. We saw two more does in the back yard this evening. I'll try and post more pictures once we get thru the weekend move.

Connected Again

Well, we are back in the cyber world again. We had satellite internet service hooked up today and we are back on the web! Its been several weeks since I've been able to post and we have had a lot of things go on over the last two weeks. We are pretty much settled in the cabin. We still have some things to move, but all of the essentials are now here. I had a little mishap a week ago Monday when my friend Troy and I attempted to move the washing machine. I slipped on the wet floor while moving it out of the old house and badly hurt my upper right leg. They think I might have pulled a ligament and I ended up having to stay off of it for several days. It's still very sore, but I'm up and around again. We had two of our grandsons stay with us last weekend while my daughter and her husband went away for the weekend. Gavin and Landon kept us entertained for the weekend. We had a great time with them! We are going to try and move more things this weekend if the weather cooperates. Hopefully we will be able to get the rest of the major furniture moved. Here is a picture of some visitors we had the other day.

Moving Day

Well its moving day at last, at least the first of the official moving days. I have a trailer and three friends from work will be here this morning. I am hoping to get our bedroom and living room furniture along with the washer and dryer moved today. If I get that accomplished I'll be happy. Praying that the weather holds out. Mel is heading to the cabin first thing as they are delivering the refrigerator today too.

Dining Room Setup

We moved the dining room table to the cabin this evening and set it up. It really looks good! We are still planning to move the bedroom and living room furniture this Saturday. Several people from work have volunteered to help. Its so great to have such willing and helpful friends. Here's another pic of the kitchen.

Another load moved

I took another load in the Honda today after work. Slowly we are getting things moved. I've reserved a trailer for this weekend and hopefully we can get the living room and bedroom furniture moved. I took the dining room chairs down today and I have the table loaded up for tomorrow. Here's another pic of the kitchen.

Refrigerator Bought

Mel bought a refrigerator today, she got a Maytag with the double doors on top and the slide out bottom freezer. They are delivering it on Saturday. I think its going to look great in the kitchen. I loaded up the Honda with the dining room chairs and boxes of kitchen dishes and things Mel packed today. We'll take it to the cabin after work tomorrow. I'm planning on renting a trailer and moving more things this weekend. Here's another pic of the kitchen.

Kitchen is complete!

The kitchen is finally complete. I finished the plumbing for the sink, wow was that an ordeal. Hooking up the faucet requires some patience. Its really tough getting the hoses connected up under the sink, not a lot of room. I struggled for several hours and finally got it done. I think I had Mel worried for a while as I was threating to take the faucet back. The kitchen really looks great! Now all we need is to buy a new refrigerator. We've look everywhere and man are they expensive! Mel likes the new style with the double doors on the top and the slide out bottom freezer. I think we will probably get a Maytag, it seems to be the one Mel likes best. Here is a pic of the kitchen.

Busy Week

Wow, its Saturday already! We've had a busy week and I haven't been able to get any posts on here since Monday. We are off to the cabin this morning, I have to get the sink and faucet hooked up in the kitchen this weekend. We got a contract on our home, so it looks like we need to get serious about moving. I'll post some pics of the kitchen later this weekend.
