The Hunt Is On

I've been hunting pretty regularly the last few weeks. Seen plenty of does, but at this point I still have my sights set on getting a buck. Still plenty of time to put meat in the freezer. I've saw a good six point the last three times I've been out, but so far he hasn't come in range to get a shot. I'll be patient and hopefully I'll have a success story to report.

Back Again

Wow, I can't believe its been six months since I last posted! Its been a busy and eventful summer. Too many things to list. We've completed several projects around the cabin and I'll try and detail them in some future posts. Its the start of deer hunting season here in Ohio and I have setup a tree stand on the property and have been out several time in search of that big buck. I saw a six point in the back yard last Sunday morning, so I know they are out there. Hopefully I be able to report a successful hunt shortly.

Vacation

Mel and I decided to take a well earned vacation to unwind after the move. I have to admit that it was pretty stressful for me, but it is all now complete. We flew down to LA to visit friends we have from when we lived there a few years ago. It was great to visit with them and see the area again. We both miss LA and all the friends we made there.

Complete

We are finally done with the move, we move the last of our things yesterday. It is such a relief to finally be moved. We had a 10 X 18 barn delivered the other day, but the ground was too wet to level it. They have to come back when the ground drys out and level it for us, so until thats done I can't move anything into it. The barn looks great, matches the house. Its cedar stain wood with a red metal roof. I'll post some pictures when its all set up.

Home Stretch

We are pretty close to being finished with the move. We made a few more trips this past week and hope to get the remainder of the stuff today. After that I only have the lawn tractor and motorcycle to move. We might go buy our storage barn later today and hopefully we can have it delivered so we have a place to put the tractor and motorcycle. I'll be so glad when we are completed and we can focus on getting thing organized here at the cabin.

Snowing Again

It looks like we are going to get quite a bit of snow this weekend. It started yesterday morning and is still snowing this morning. I was hoping to make another trip to the house and move some more things this weekend, but if the snow keeps up that won't happen. I guess Mel and I will just hunker down and enjoy the beautiful snow. Here is a pic of some visitors we had the other day.

Almost Done

We are getting close to having the move finished. We got all the major items finished this past weekend when the kids where here to help. Mel and I have some small things along with some clothes that we will try and get moved over the next several weeks. I'm going to try and get most of it moved this weekend if the weather holds out, we're suppose to get another winter storm on Friday. I haven't taken any more pictures recently, I'll try and get some soon.
